There are no pros. This is pure cruelty to take innocent animals and subject them to a lifetime of brutal torture and then murder just for our vanity. They are sensitive to different things than humans are anyway. Testing them doesn’t really establish anything. We’d get superior results giving free samples to people who willingly grant themselves to be tested…
To the commenter below who are we to decide if an animal “doesn’t have a use for this earth” or if it’s an overpopulated animal it’s ok to abuse and murder it? Wow, just wow the ignorance.
I bet the same people who support animal testing and torture are the same who are against basic womens right to abortion. They care more about an embryo who can’t feel anything because it’s not at all developed but they’re fine with an animal who has feelings and more intelligence than a toddler being brutalized. Totally disgusting.
The majority of cosmetics and beauty brands still have products that cause reactions in countless men and women who use them because testing on animals isn’t affective in determining what will work on humans. Most are from the brands who test on animals, lmao not the other way around.
The question is on testing cosmetics, not medications on animals so this isn’t something that would harm a man or woman for decades. At worst they would develop a rash or acne which would be cleared out soon. This is not the case with animals.
I am also against testing medication on animals. They have different bodies than we do again and different reactions. Why not test willing humans who are desperate to try any treatment, ones who are reckless and juts don’t care they’ll do anything for money/free samples or prison inmates who did heinous crimes against humanity so who cares how they feel. Let them repay their debt this way instead of the death penalty. Animals are innocent.
Who is to decide that human life is superior to other species? This is what belief has done. It’s poisoned minds to kill and destroy the planet because our nonexistent sky daddies in our sprite tale collections called religious texts tell us its ok to. Who cares about this planet anyway? We can do whatever we want to it including violence against apiece other, overpopulate with humans which is actually harming the world, not animal overpopulation, the only animals being overbred are the ones for fatties with their meat intake addictions. What does it matter anyway how we abuse and destroy on here. We’ll make it to paradise eventually right? All we have to do is mindlessly believe.
One last question ? What if there is a more developed life on another planet or somewhere in this universe. Would it be ok hypothetically for it to decide that we are lesser beings and to decide to test on us, cage us, enslave us for their greater good? Some might state this is so absurd but its the same principal.

well if they don’t test it on animals they will have to test it on something. because i don’t want my skin to peel of when im using a bar of soap. the bad thing is that the animals die sometimes. or get bad skin conditions. but if they use a overpopulated animal or an animal that has no use to earth i have no problem with it. hope i helped!
Why should we even use products that need testing anyways , and there are nooooo pros!
I feel I have an unbias view.
While all animals can “feel”, depends on what you think is cruel. A lot of people think it’s OK to test on rodents such as rats and mice because they populate so quickly, plus they do not live long. Anything you eat or take is tested on rodents, including perscriptions, dyes, etc. Some people don’t like it though if you go up like rabbits, cats, dogs, etc. You have to look at it’s an animal. It doesn’t work like you do, have the same feelings, environment, etc. However, people have a connection with them because they have cats and dogs themselves and are like “what if that happened to my pet?”. Some of the ways peolple are unhappy with either. Some people might be okay with putting it on, while some other methods such as sewing their eyes such and such may not be as ethical. A HUGE PRO of testing is so humans don’t have to go through the same thing as the animal does. If a product is dangerous, only an animal is spared and can be put down while in general, humans agree upon especially if the animal is sufferering, as where if a human has the suffer the consequences, they will probably have to live with it for the rest of their lives, which is generally decades.
